Fiji born Isoa Damudamu has been called in the England Sevens team for the Hong Kong Sevens tournament next week.

England Sevens coach Ben Ryan has named a 13 man squad where Damudamu will be replaced by young Sam Edgerley after the Hong Kong Sevens as Damudamu will only be available for next week’s tournament.

The inclusion of the Britain Army officer will certainly boost England’s chances of lifting the cup after five years in happy valley.

The England Sevens squad includes other top players live Greg Barden, John Brake, Dan Norton, Tom Powell, James Rodwell, Mathew Turner, Rob Vickerman and Charlie Walker.

England currently lies fourth in the IRB Sevens Series behind New Zealand, Fiji and South Africa.

In Hong Kong England will play Argentina, Kenya and Samoa in pool play.

Meanwhile, Fiji’s first game in Hong Kong Sevens will be against Scotland at 9.06pm next Friday.

Fiji last won in Hong Kong back in 2009.

NZ is the defending champion.
