Dakuidreketi denied permission to attend IRB meet
Dakuidreketi's lawyer Wylie Clark made an application for bail variation for Dakuidreketi this afternoon to allow his client to travel for the IRB meeting.
However, High Court Judge Justice Paul Madigan refused the application stating that Dakuidreketi himself does not has to travel and another FRU Official can be delegated the task.
Judge Madigan also stated that Dakuidreketi's case will be called on November 13th where he is expected to take a plea on allegations of allegedly trying to defraud the Native Lands Trust Board.
He says it will also prejudice the two other co-accused persons in the case as the plea would have to be defered.
Dakuidreketi, along with Former NLTB General Manager Kalivati Bakani and NLTB Official Alanieta Vakatale have been charged by FICAC for allegedly trying to defraud the NLTB off $3.7 million and a government grant of $1 million in relation to payments for a defunct IT programme MySap.
The case will be called on November 13th.
