It was very difficult for Savenaca Tikoirotuma to say how proud he is after watching his son Asaeli Tikoirotuma play for the Chiefs in the Super Rugby final.

Savenaca Tikoirotuma who resides in Valelevu watched the match at his daughters residence in Rewa street with his close family members and kept praying when the Chiefs were trailing.

68-year-old Tikoirotuma who is a diabetic patient and had his leg amputated just before the semifinal against the Crusaders said he is now waiting for his son to come home and see him.

He said his son should be coming to visit him in two weeks time.


The Chiefs secured back-to-back Super Rugby titles with a 27-22 win over the Brumbies in a thrilling final at Waikato Stadium on Saturday night.
