It starts tomorrow and many DVD outlets around the country are already bracing for the worst.

The amendment to the Copyright Act comes into effect tomorrow and hopes are high that piracy of audio CD's and DVD movies will be eradicated.

Over the past few weeks many video libraries are frantically getting rid of the pirated DVD's by having closing down sales.

It is not known whether many shops will close tomorrow or remain open.

The Fiji Performing Rights Association hopes that police and relevant authorities will strictly enforce the new Copyright Amendment Decree 2009 which comes into effect tomorrow.

Association President Eremasi Tamanisau said all music and video pirates should stop what they have been doing and abide by the law that has been promulgated by the government.
