The Director of Public Prosecutions Office said it will not comment on the progress of the Nimilote Verebasaga murder case as yet.
Public Relations Officer Asishna Prasad said the DPP's Office does not comment on a case where charges are yet to be laid.
And as the Criminal Investigations Department awaits the military legal unit's reply whether the soldier implicated in Verebasaga's murder case will be tried in the criminal court or court martial, the DPP's Office said it will also not comment on the matter.
Meanwhile, the DPP's Office is now assessing the evidence forwarded by police in relation to the Tevita Malasebe's case after receiving the file on Monday.
Nine police officers have been implicated in the brutal killing of Malasebe who died in the custody of Valelevu Police.
