The DPP has withdrawn the charges against one of the accused who is charged along with the Qaranivalu Ratu Inoke Takiveikata and 8 others with three counts of conspiracy to murder.
When the ten appeared before Judge Justice Daniel Goundar today, the DPP lawyer Asishna Prasad revealed that the charges against Isireli Cakau have been withdrawn today.
Meanwhile, the case of Ballu Khan and the other remaining accused will now be called together on 26th March for a plea to be taken.
The appeal for Ballu Khan's property to be released was also quashed today by the High Court which included vehicles, a portable DVD, a conventional camera and a video camera seized during raids at his home.
