DISMAC Operations Center in the Western Division is now mobilizing teams to activate evacuation centers with Tropical Cylcone Gene tracking its way through Northern Viti Levu.
Acting Commissioner Western Taniela Vocevoce said strong winds and heavy rain are now being experienced in most parts of the Western Division.
Vocevoce also confirms that District Officers are working with Police in Ba, Rakiraki and Tavua to assist people who may have to move to the evacuation centers.
