The National Dismac Centre has made a submission to the Government through the Ministry of National Planning to provide food rations to some boarding schools that were affected during Cyclone Mick.

Acting Directer DISMAC Pajiliai Dobui confirmed the recommendation was raised by the Commissioners after assessing the damages left by the flood and the December cyclone.

Dobui said a few boarding schools have been named and should expect distribution of food rations includes RKS, QVS, BMS, ACS and a Kadavu Boarding school.

He added the school farms were washed away by the flood and damaged root crop like dalo, cassava and vegetables.
