DISMAC is monitoring the day to day lives of the remaining evacuees still occupying the 6 evacuation centres in the West.
Senior Dismac Officer, Laisenia Naitila said 205 people still occupy two centres in Lautoka and 4 centres in Ba. Naitila confirms that most of them were seasonal workers of the Fiji Sugar Corporation and their homes were washed away by the flood last month.
Naitila said that Commissioner Western, Joeli Rokovada and his team, are in charge of the rations which should be distributed evenly first to the people mostly affected and the others later.
Centres still under operational include the Lololo Forestry Training Centre, the Ba FSC Kindergarten, Quarters 104 and the FSC Club 17 and other homes.
