The National DISMAC is hoping to get more funds from overseas donors to assist those who have been affected by Tropical Cyclone Gene last week.
Director, Joeli Rokovada said assistance is slowly coming in however they will need more funds as assessments by the DISMAC team continue. He added that talks with various high commissioners are underway.
DISMAC has identified a few areas that have been declared a State of Natural Disaster after Tropical Cyclone Gene, which include parts of Central/Eastern, Western and Northern Divisions.
Rokovada said the DISMAC team will assist those who are in urgent need however people need to be patient.
