The DPP's Office today asked the High Court for more time to deliberate on whether or not to drop the charges against the remaining nine accused in the case of the conspiracy to murder Interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama and others.

DPP lawyer Nanise Tikoisuva asked Justice Bruce for time saying they needed to decide further on the charges and whether to drop them against the nine. This was granted by Justice Bruce.

Of the nine accused, Naitasiri High Chief Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Metuisela Mua and Former Army Land Force Commander, Jone Baledrokadroka were present and their lawyers agreed to the two weeks being granted.

Takiveikata, Mua, Baledrokadroka with Feoko Gadekibau, Barbados Mills, Sivaniolo Naulago, Eparama Waqatairewa, Kaminieli Vosavere and Pauliasi Namulo were charged with conspiracy to murder the Interim Prime Minister and others.

Business Ballu Khan had last week got a permanent stay on all charges against him and is now in New Zealand.

The case will again be heard in court on December 12th.
