The Nadi Weather Office said people living in the Lau Group should be aware that they could be facing strong winds as a result of Tropical Cyclone Rene located near American Samoa.
Nadi Weather Office Deputy Director Alipate Waqaicelua said at this stage the Cyclone poses no direct threat to the Fiji group, however indications are that strong winds may be felt by the Lau Group.
Fijivillage News confirms and wishes to reiterate that Tropical Cyclone Rene does not pose a direct threat to the Fiji group, and other parts of the Fiji group will not feel strong winds that could be faced by the Lau group.
