People can expect better service delivery at various government departments following the launching of the Customer Service Charter Framework today.

While launching the Framework at Center for Training and Development at Nasese, Public Service Commission Chairman, Josefa Serulagilagi told various ministries permanent secretaries that they need to realize that the general public deserves value for money from the taxes they pay.

According to the Framework, civil servants should treat everyone fairly with integrity, impartially and with courtesy and civil servants are required to answer the telephones promptly and politely.

Serulagilagi said they will speak to those civil servants who do not deliver to the best of their ability to ensure service delivery improves.

He added that the people have a right to consultation, courtesy, information in relation to Government services.

Serulagilagi said they have been monitoring various ministry services for the whole year.
