The review of the current laws being carried out by the Solicitor General's office does not mean that new laws will be made.
Solicitor General Christopher Pryde said a team headed by former Supervisor of Elections Felicity Heffernan is carrying out a review of the laws as the last one was conducted in 1985 and there is a need to consolidate the recent decrees and promulgations which were made since then.
