High Court Judge Justice Nazhat Shameem believes that our cultural obligations are a major hurdle in the fight against corruption in Fiji.
Speaking at the Attorney General's Conference in Nadi, Justice Shameem stressed that our respect for authority continues to stand in the way of fighting corruption effectively.
Judge Shameem also raised concerns that certain legal practitioners often abuse the process of law to obscure allegations of corruption against their client.
