Cuba and Fiji will now assist each other in the exchange of Sporting delegations, expert coaches and specialist in the field of Physical Education, sports development and sports science.

This is after Youth and Sports Minister Viliame Naupoto signed the historical agreement with Christian Jimenez Molina, the President of the National Institute for Sports, Physical Education and Recreation of the Republic of Cuba.

The agreement allows Cuba to assist Fiji in scholarship programs, High Performance and Training Programs for Athletes, Sports Facilities and Equipments, formation and Upgrading of Coaches and Specialists.

Molina said Cuba has just started a Rugby 7 program in preparation for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil and will look to expert assistance from Fiji.
