The Crusaders inflicted more pain on the helpless Highlanders after beating them 24-8 in Christchurch last night.

It was a one way traffic from start to finish and the Crusaders never trailed as they bounced back from last week’s shock defeat to the Force with a well earned win played in difficult conditions.

The win left the Crusaders with a 4-4 record midway through the regular season, to sit third in the New Zealand conference and ahead of only the Hurricanes and Highlanders.

In Australia, the Reds and Brumbies thrashed out a thrilling 19-all draw at Suncorp Stadium last night.

Outstanding defence from the Brumbies in the second half denied the Reds several scoring opportunities.

Handling errors compounded the Reds efforts in the first half as they went close on multiple occasions.

The Bulls moved top of the South African conference after beating the Kings 34-nil with a bonus point at a packed out Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Cheetahs pulled off a hard fought 12-6 derby victory over the Sharks in Durban.
