The Crusaders are red-hot favorites on both sides of the Tasman to win the Super Rugby title.

The TAB books show the Canterbury team at $1.55 to win on Saturday, compared to the Reds at $2.35.

TAB bookmaker Mark Stafford said the Crusaders had defied the odds and earned their place at the top after they played away from their home ground this season.

Stafford added that all bets were on “incredibly fast and strong” Crusaders right wing Sean Maitland to score the opening try.

The match was expected to have a high score with a close winning margin.

Reds host the Crusaders on Saturday at 9.40pm.
