The Crusaders just too good for the Reds!

This is the headline hitting everywhere as the Crusaders cruised into the second week of the Super Rugby playoffs with a commanding 38-9 semifinal qualifier win over the Queensland Reds last night.

The Crusaders had gone a long way to securing victory by halftime, leading 21-6 courtesy of a try to Ryan Crotty and 16 points to Dan Carter through a try, conversion and three penalties.

The red and black attack continued in the second spell, with two further tries and Carter converting both for a personal haul of 20 points.

The Reds were restricted to just three penalties from the boot of Quade Cooper who did not have much to offer to the game.

The Crusaders will meet either the Chiefs or Bulls away for a place in the final.

Meanwhile, the Brumbies will host the Cheetahs at 6.10pm today in another playoff match.
