The Crusaders will unleash giant Fijian winger Nemani Nadolo in the 2014 Super Rugby season.

Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder said Nadolo can play on the wing or midfield, making him the ideal signing given the seven-time champions have lost wing Tom Marshall and centre Robbie Fruean to the Chiefs from last year’s squad.

The 25-year-old was raised in Queensland and won selection in the 2009 Waratahs squad but did not play a Super Rugby game.

Blackadder said at 1.95m and nearly 130kg, Nadolo is an absolute hulk of a man, yet he can fly down the field for a man that size.

He said comparisons have been drawn with Jonah Lomu, and they cannot wait to work with him and unleash him in this competition.

Colin Slade is also coming back to the Crusaders after a stint with the Highlanders.

Nemani Nadolo is currently with the Flying Fijians in the Northern tour.

The Flying Fijians will play Portugal in their first match on the 10th of next month before playing Italy on the 17th then Romania on the 24th.

Their last match is against the Barbarians on the 1st of December.

Meanwhile, in other International test matches this weekend, the All Blacks will meet Japan at 6:30pm on Saturday and England will host the Wallabies at 4:30am Sunday.
