The Crusaders hope to bring some of their stars such as Kieran Read and Israel Dagg back for this weekend's crucial Super Rugby match against the Chiefs but Dan Carter is unlikely to be risked just yet.
Crusaders is one of the seven teams still in the running for a playoff spot while their opponent the Chiefs have already booked a semifinal berth.
The other teams in the running for the play offs are the Stormers, Brumbies, Bulls, Hurricanes, Reds and Sharks.
The Crusaders needs to win this match to keep their chances of qualifying alive.
Crusaders will meet the Chiefs at 7:35pm this Friday.
