Crusaders halfback Andy Ellis said he is confident that they can turn their form around in time to face the Hurricanes in Wellington this weekend.

The Crusaders started a week later than the rest of the Super Rugby teams and suffered an opening round 34-15 loss to the Blues.

Halfback Ellis expects the Hurricanes to go into the match on Friday thinking that they will be able to do the same thing.

The Crusaders adopted a new attacking game plan in the off season but the Blues exposed them in defence and the new attack failed to produce any tries.

Even though the Crusaders have just five days to fix the problem Ellis said he is confident they can turn it around.

The Crusaders takes on the Hurricanes at 6.30pm while the Rebels take on the Reds at 8.40pm on Friday.
