With only a few hours to go, last years Colonial Cup losing finalist, the Crusaders are aiming high and plan to win their first Colonial match this afternoon to lay the platform for the season.

The Iliesa Tanivulu coached side has featured in the Colonial Cup final on three occasion but lost in all three, twice to the Stallions and once to the Highlanders.

When contacted by Village sports, Tanivula said a win at Churchill park will only boost the morale at the Crusaders camp as they also aim to remain unbeaten in the tournament this year.

The Crusaders/Knights game kicks off at 3pm this afternoon and you can catch a live-commentary of the match on our sister-station Viti FM.

The other Colonial Cup match to be held at 3pn at Garvey Park in Tavua will see the Bligh Roosters hosting the Sharks on home-ground.

In last night's opening Colonial Cup match, defending champions the Stallions beat the Highlanders by 15-12.
