Crunch Time For Overseas Based Players
With the exception of defending champions Vodafone Ba, the other 9 districts will rely heavily on their overseas imports to win the last tournament in the soccer calendar.
While past tournaments have shown that the districts who have brought in overseas players do not play up to expectation, this has not stopped teams from drafting them in, in hopes of denying the Men In Black a win which will make it their 3rd win in a row in the IDC.
Soccer commentator Raymond Stoddart said it will be interesting to see how teams like Nadroga, who have the services of 6 Australian based players, will be able to put together a formidable combination in this tournament.
The Courts Homecentres IDC will kick-off at 5pm today when Nadroga takes on Nadi.
