Aaron Cruden will make his return from injury in the Chiefs final Super Rugby pre‑season match against the Blues tomorrow night.
It's been 10 months since the All Blacks pivot last took the field ‑ having ruptured his ACL in his left knee on April 17th last year against the Crusaders in Christchurch.
Coach Dave Rennie opted to leave Cruden out of the first pre‑season match against the Waratahs last week, but has named the 27‑year‑old to start tomorrow, and is looking to use him for 50 to 60 minutes.
In the opening round of the Super Rugby next Friday, the Blues will play the Highlanders at 6.35pm while the Hurricanes will play the Brumbies at 8.40pm.
On Saturday, the Crusaders will take on the Chiefs at 6.35pm and the Waratahs will play the Reds at 8.40pm.
On Sunday, the Kings will play the Sharks at 1am and the Bulls will clash with the Stormers at 3.05am.
