It will be a Dan Carter and Aaron Cruden showdown tonight.

The paths of the two All Blacks first five-eighths’ will collide in the Super Rugby semifinal at Waikato Stadium.

23-year-old Cruden has the advantage of youth while 30-year-old Carter has the experience of 87 tests to steer the Crusaders ship tonight.

Despite his vast experience, Carter is not immune to misfiring in the finals.

During last year’s 18-13 defeat in the final against the Reds, although he created his own try with an instinctive act of creativity, he made several crucial handling errors in Brisbane.

The Chiefs will host the Crusaders at 7:35 tonight while the Sharks will play the Stormers at 3:05am Sunday.
