Top sides Navua, Ba and Labasa picked up crucial victories in the first round of the 2010 Vodafone Fiji FACT over the weekend.
Boosted with the services of O League stars Roy Krishna, the Labasa side beat Suva 2 0 at Subrail Park.
Elsewhere Hekari United striker Tuimasi Manuca scored the lone goal for his Ba side's close 1 0 victory over Tavua at Govind Park.
Defending Fiji FACT champions Navua were taken right down to the wire by Nasinu but a goal in the first minutes of play by US based Stefan Clemens was the difference in the 1 0 victory at TFL National Stadium in Suva.
Gurjit Singh the Navua head coach believes his side needs to pull their socks up if they are to defend their title.
Meanwhile Nasinu coach and former National Football rep Ravuama Madigi added that his side needed a quick recovery before their next match.
Navua and Nasinu are in Pool Two alongside giants Ba, Rewa and Tavua. Lautoka , Suva, Labasa, Nadi and Nadroga are in Pool One.
In other result this past weekend at Lawaqa Park Nadroga and Nadi played to a 1 1 draw.
The Fiji FACT starts proper this Thursday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
The final is scheduled to be played 3pm on Sunday.
