Last year's wooden‑spooners, the Cronulla Sharks has ended the premiership defence of the South Sydney Rabbitohs with an impressive 28‑12 victory last night.
The Sharks will now face the North Queensland Cowboys in the semifinals this Saturday.
Looking at the Week 2 of the Final Series, Sydney Roosters will take on the Canterbury Bulldogs at 7.55pm Friday while the Sharks will take on the Cowboys at 7.40pm Saturday.
The winner of the Roosters vs Bulldogs game will meet the Broncos while the winner of the Sharks and Cowboys match will meet Melbourne Storm.
