Digicel Fiji 7's coach Joe Savou will not let criticism levelled against him undermine his team's efforts in trying to claim their first title in the 2007/08 IRB 7's series.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Savou said he knows that New Zealand needs only seven points to claim the title and while they are out of the running, he will use this last leg to prepare a team for the 7s World Cup next year.
The Digicel Fiji 7s team meets Canada in their opening match at 8:44pm next Saturday. Then at 11:50pm Fiji plays Portugal in their second pool match and meet Australia at 4:14am on Sunday in their final pool encounter.
The first Cup quarterfinal on Sunday will start at 11:28pm, while the first semifinal will kickoff at 3:44am on Monday, with the final scheduled for 5:52am on Monday, May 26th.
