The Fiji Police Force has this morning confirmed that the crime rate in the country decreased by 4 percent last year.
Police spokesperson, ASP Isikeli Ligairi has confirmed that serious crimes like ‘robbery with violence’ decreased dramatically while crimes like rape increased by a certain percentage this year.
ASP Ligairi said that the decrease is due to the support from the members of the public and plans put in place by Commissioner, Commodore Esala Teleni.
