The Suva Crime Free unit has taken its crime free initiative to another level through the introduction of a Crime Free Initiative in Hotels and Motels.
This proposal will begin with the Crime Free Motel and Hotel pilot program and is also part of the Fiji Police Force overall strategy of declaring a Crime Free Fiji by 2012.
The idea includes a decrease in criminal activity and maintaining a reputation that Fiji is a safe tourist destination and also making properties more appealing and marketable.
While there is hope to extend the program around the country, stakeholders has been briefed by the Tourist Police and the Crime Free Office that manages the implementation of this initiative.
The program will be expanded to Hotel and Motel around Fiji with hopes of preventing criminal activities within these premises.
This enables a safe environment for guests and employees.
