The Crest West Kids Rugby Tournament has commenced today with the highlight of the Under 14 girls adopting a participating country in the Rio Olympics.
Tournament Coordinator Noa Neivogo says the girls pools have been structured like this year’s Womens Rugby in Rio.
Neivogo says the girl are wearing jerseys of the country they represent which was sponsored by World Rugby and FRU.
Meanwhile the Colombia team thrashed Fiji 3 points to 1 while Great Britain edged Canada 4-3 and USA beat Spain 4 - 2.
In other games the Under 12 girls Nadi thrashed Bua 4 - 0 while Nadi and Lautoka One had a tie at 1 all, and Lautoka beat Naitasiri 7 - 2.
In Under 13 grade Nadi thrashed West Coast Tavua 10 - 0.
The Finals will continue tomorrow at the Prince Charles Nadi.
In Boys under 12 Nadroga Two beat Lautoka two 7 - 2 and Nadroga one beat Bua 12-0 while Nadi Blue had a tie with Naitasiri at 7 all.
