Credibility Of NCBBF Figures Questioned
Qarase has also questioned the methods used to get the people to support the draft Charter.
Qarase said a secret ballot should have been conducted rather than asking people to put their names on the response forms.
The NCBBF said they have consulted a total of 418,855 people up to this Monday, which represents 78.5 percent of the adult population.
Of this number, a total of 367,183 people provided their feedback by completing the Response Forms and of this a total of 339,497 or 92.5% affirmed their support for the draft People's Charter.
10,798 people or 3% of those completing the Response forms also expressed support for the Draft Charter but subject to certain changes being incorporated. Those not supporting the draft Peoples Charter totaled 12,965 representing 4 percent of the respondents.
The last NCBBF meeting is currently underway.
