The place to be in Fiji on New year's eve.

That is the description by international media and traveling agencies with regards to the Fijivillage Annual Street Party in Suva as the countdown begins to herald in the New Year.

The Fijivillage Annual Street Party has been a regular fixture for the past thirteen years and has seen local Tourism Organisations requesting updates to be able to keep visitors informed of the activities in time for New Year.

The event organised by Total Event Company, has seen it grow over the years with two change in venues as the crowd grows every year with families taking their mats, picnic baskets and even tanoa to join thousands in welcoming the new tear with dance and music.

The organisers reveal that this year, the public will be able to dance to local and international music until the countdown starts for the new year and as a transition into 2011, there will also be a fireworks display.

The Annual Fijivillage Street Party with Digicel will be held this Friday starting at 7pm at Albert Park in Suva.
