Countdown begins for biggest Street Party
The CFL Annual Fiji Street Party, organised by Total Event company has over the past ten years seen tens of thousands of people converge at Albert Park in downtown Suva.
TEC Manager Loretta Jackson said the yearly event which is run by Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of Fijivillage, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang and Sargam, is a way for the five radio stations to thank their listeners for their support through the year.
She adds that for the past two years, Digicel has been supporting the event as they have noticed that is one event where people of all races have been able to come together and have fun in an alcohol free event.
Digicel Fiji marketing manager, Sheryl Singh said the mobile phone company is proud of being associated with a huge family event that brings everyone together.
Jackson said this will enable the people around the world to see Fiji as it is the first country in the world to welcome the New Year.
Meanwhile, Good news for those planning to head down to the CFL Annual Fiji Street Party tonight as all bus services will be running as normal.
Late yesterday LTA held a meeting and decided that all bus services will be running normal even after midnight from Suva Bus stand.
This is to ensure that transport is available for members of the public after the annual street party, particularly for those living outside Suva City.
The Fijivillage Annual Fiji Street Party with Digicel will be held tomorrow night at 7pm at Albert Park.
