Counseling has started for the families affected by Tropical Cyclone Mick.
The Fiji Red Cross Society said after assisting close to 3,000 families over the past week following devastation caused by the cyclone, they are now focusing on counseling the affected families.
Disaster manager Vuli Gauna said that their officers have recorded the destruction of close to 60 homes and these are the families they are focusing on.
Gauna said that many of these families will have a very sad Christmas, adding that they will now need help in rebuilding their lives.
At the moment, DISMAC is compiling their disaster analysis report as they continue to receive damage reports from the various districts.
