The Nasinu Town Clerk said Nasinu's Town Councilors were also the ones who did not pay their rates.
Satish Kumar raised concern that the rates owed to the council that is standing a $8 million dollars accumulated over the last 8 years adding that if the councilors themselves did not clear their rates, how could they expect the common man to pay theirs.
He added that they have had much better response from the ratepayers compared to the same period last year and the council is running normal despite the absence of the councilors.
