Council members a secret
Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office Parmesh Chand has confirmed they are all representatives from the various invited organization, however, names of the members will not be revealed until the Council sits this Wednesday.
Chand has also confirmed that the National Council will conduct its meetings at the Trade Winds Convention Center in Lami.
It has also been confirmed that the Secretariat of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji, which is based at the Parliamentary complex is working overtime to ensure that everything is in place for the first meeting of the Council to get underway.
Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama and Head of the Catholic Church Archbishop Petero Mataca are Co-Chairpersons of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji which will consist 12 government representatives, 14 nominees to represent the 14 provinces and the rest are made up of members from the invited civil society organizations.
