The Textile Clothing and Footwear Council of Fiji is hoping for a stable year this year compared to the past twelve months of uncertainties last year.

Council President Kalpesh Solanki said in 2009 their export markets mainly Australia and New Zealand were going through a downturn due the World Financial Crisis.

He adds locally the wage rate increased and they also had to face devaluation and the rise of raw material prices.

Solanki said this year will be challenging but with the "Make It in Fiji" marketing campaign they are hopeful increase the exports.
