Newly appointed Supervisor of Elections Dr Maurice Coughlan's appointment hangs in the balance with the Constitutional Offices Commission expected to decide his fate tomorrow.

After revelations that Dr. Coughlan was disbarred from practicing law in New Zealand in 1992 due to a bad business transaction, Ram said this information was not revealed in his application or interview and they were not aware.

Commission Chairman Rishi Ram said Coughlan's fate will be known tomorrow and at this stage, he is not the Supervisor of Elections

Ram said the Constitutional Offices Commission will appoint somebody else to replace him if a decision is made against Dr. Coughlan.
