In what can be described as unique and going against normal practice, the winner of the Coral Coast Carnival will be crowned with a crown made entirely of coral.
Chairman of the Organising Committee Ratu Jolame Lewanavanua said they have opted to use the new designed crown in line with the name of the carnival, adding this year's carnival has been a success.
Ratu Jolame said the judges will have a difficult job of choosing this year's winner.
The float procession starts in the next hour with the crowning scheduled to be held this evening at 7pm. The chief guest will be the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
