The Copyright officers from Suva and Procera Music Shop raided a shop in Lautoka this morning and recovered about 40 copied versions of original CDs.
Procera Music Shop General Manager, Mahid Murad said they have been gathering information and sending out their people to buy CDs and that is how they found out that their CDs were being copied.
Similar raid was conducted on two shops in Tavua yesterday where 90 copied CDs and copying machines were confiscated.
Meanwhile, the amended copyright law came into effect last September and under the law, a dealer will have to prove that the music or video DVD's are not pirated.
They face penalties which include fines between $5,000 to $50,000 and 12 months imprisonment.
