Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni has assured the Province of Nadroga Navosa that if any police officer is seen drinking grog in any village, the officer would be sacked.
Commodore Teleni was a quest speaker at the Nadroga Navosa Provincial Council meeting today, at Tale-na-vuru-vuru Sigatoka where a declaration was signed between Teleni, Commissioner Western Joeli Cawaki and the Turaga Ka Levu, Ratu Sakiusa Makutu to declare the province a Safety Crime Free Environment.
Commodore Teleni said he will ensure police officers maintain professionalism at all times.
Commodore Teleni also assured hotel and resort owners to provide a safe environment for everyone.
Meanwhile, Turaga Na Kalevu told the members of the council as most of them are landowners that land leases which have expired and left idle must be renewed.
