The Copra Millers of Fiji Limited in Savusavu are now on the ground carrying a survey of the plantations that have been affected by Hurricane Tomas.
Management confirmed receiving reports from suppliers that there is alot of damage however with fallen trees and inaccessible roads, the survey is expected to take longer.
Meanwhile, Iva Leper who runs a copra farm with her husband said that there has been extensive damage to the copra plantations farms along the Hibiscus Highway in Savusavu as many of the farmers live along the area.
