Olympian and Pacific javelin champion Leslie Copeland said he will use the 2015 Pacific Games as an opportunity to prepare himself to qualify for the Olympics in Rio De Janeiro Brazil next year.

The qualification period for the Olympic Games will officially start on the July this year and Copeland said he will do his very best to try and qualify.

The 26-year-old also said that he will do his utmost best to grab a gold medal at the Pacific games.

Copeland won a gold medal at the 2011 Pacific Games in Nouméa, New Caledonia.

At the 2014 Commonwealth games Leslie Copeland had finished in 10th place in the Men’s Javelin final.

The Pacific Games will be held from the 4th to the 18th of July.
