Fiji’s javelin champion, Leslie Copeland has till the 11th of July next year to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The qualifying distance is 83 metres while Copeland’s best throw is 80.45m.
From January, Copeland and his coach will be in Australia attending the Australian athletics circuit, where he aims to make the Olympic cut.
If Copeland does make the cut then it will be his second Olympic outing, his first was the 2012 London Olympics.
