Quade Cooper will return to the Queensland Reds starting lineup for the first time in 10 months against the Lions this Saturday in Brisbane.

The Reds flyhalf suffered a serious knee injury in last year’s World Cup and has been sidelined for the opening 12 rounds of the Super Rugby season but the 24-year-old Cooper has been named this morning and will run on in the number 10 jersey.

The Reds are currently eight points behind Australian conference leaders the Brumbies.

The Reds and Lions match is on Saturday at 9.40pm.
