Quade Cooper has been snubbed by Australian sevens coach Andy Friend and will take no part in this weekend's inaugural Sydney Sevens tournament.
Coach Andy Friend says there is no doubt that he will be a tremendous addition to the squad as they build towards Rio, but due to circumstances which were beyond Quade's control, and their control, he just could not get enough work in this week with the team.
Meanwhile Henry Speight has been picked to play this weekend.
Australia is pooled with New Zealand, Canada and Portugal.
