Quade Cooper has agreed to a new two-year contract with Australian Rugby, putting an end to speculation he could be set to leave the sport.

Cooper, who began a tense stand-off with the ARU when he labeled the Wallabies team environment “toxic” in September, said he was happy to have his future in rugby settled.

Cooper has signed to terms similar to those originally proposed which is likely to see him receive in the region of $800,000 overall from the Wallabies and Reds per year.
