The Cook Islands police are in the process of advising the Fiji Police Force in relation to the discovery of a body in a harbor on Tuesday.
The body is believed to be of a Fiji national.
Cook Island police told Fijivillage that they are yet to inform the next of kin about the incident before releasing his personal details.
However, Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed they are yet to be advised about this incident.
Police in the Cook Islands are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
